Have your say - Events Strategy 2023-2028

HAVE YOUR SAY ON EVENTS IN THE CITY OF BAYSWATER BACKGROUND The City is asking for community input to develop a new Events Strategy, which will help the City to deliver and attract the best events, activate the right places, and partner with the right organisations to make the City of Bayswater a great place for everyone. The new events strategy will be a five-year guiding document that aligns with the aspirations of the City's Strategic Community Plan 2021 - 2031. To ensure we can provide a diverse program of events with wide appeal, we want to find out what types of events the community wants and where those events should be held. To develop the Events Strategy, the City is engaging with local residents and community groups to understand how best to reflect the longer-term community event needs. Input from the community and key stakeholders will play a vital part in developing the strategy and guiding the direction for future events across the City. We are also exploring the interest of community groups and stakeholders to collaborate in activation and events in the City. The City plays an important role in delivering events, but also as a partner, sponsor and facilitator of community-led events and activities across the City of Bayswater. The City is also interested to see what other assets may be available to draw on to build capacity and encourage more community-led events. HOW TO GET INVOLVED The City is currently seeking input from the wider community (including residents, businesses and community groups) through the surveys below. You can complete the surveys online or find paper copies at the Civic Centre and the City’s three libraries. Submissions close Sunday, 30 April 2023.

Survey for individuals - We would like everyone to complete this survey. Survey for Community Groups, Art Studios, Schools and Community Services - This is a specific survey to gain information from local community groups and clubs, art studios, schools, artists, performers, and community services organisations.
