City of Bayswater Annual Art Awards

The City of Bayswater Annual Art Awards Exhibition opens on Monday 19 Nov 2018 and runs until Saturday 1 December at The RISE 28 Eighth Ave, Maylands. Opening times are 10am-4pm.

The exhibition showcases the creativity of emerging and established Artists in our community. All pieces are available for sale.

New Business!

Welcome to the new businesses to the area, Forage and Fodder, Firefly Gifts, Green Room Décor, and Claymake Studio. Great to also see works on the street with the Train Station IGA being refitted out and the building painted, Ploy Thai also got a new awning, and Punjab Sweets and Curry House is getting ready to move into the building next door. Eighth Avenue is really coming along great, and it’s great to see landowners taking more pride in their buildings.

Connection

When I met with the area manager for Salvos recently, I saw an opportunity to introduce him to our local painting and plumbing training centre, MPA Skills painting trainer Stephen Delaney. One thing that I really enjoy is introducing people to result in positive outcomes for both parties. It seems their meeting went well! Concept designs have been done and approved by all, including the City of Bayswater. Around December 3 -14 a group of pre-apprentices and trainers will be painting over the old dull purple walls and really brightening up the building
