Bus Shelter outside Maylands Hall

Really pleased that my motion - for a Bus Shelter to be installed outside the Maylands Hall on Eighth Avenue, Maylands - was successful at Council last night. While this may seem like a small thing to some, this is a bus stop that is primarily used by the elderly and it was just unacceptable that there was no provision for shade from the full sun or shelter from the rain. The shelter will be installed this financial year and is being funded from the bus shelter fund. Thank you to Cr Brent Fleeton for moving the motion on my behalf. My other motion, on requesting the City - to investigate Place Management Roles for the City’s Town Centres was deferred to a future Councillor Workshop.
