

Maylands Brickworks
My alternate motion for the Maylands Brickworks didn’t get a chance to come up as a Foreshadowed motion. However I would like to thank Mayor Dan Bull for the quick thinking to add them in to as amendments to the substantive motion moved by Cr Petersen Pik. There is a 6th limb to the motion, but I don’t have the wording at hand. It basically* added request for a report to prepare a scheme amendment to make the Brickworks Lake and surrounding park land public open space.

Maylands Public Toilet After nine long years, we will be getting a new public toilet in Maylands town centre. Whilst not the best location overall, it is the best location that is available for use. The ideal location is at the Maylands Train Station and is one that Lisa Baker MLA, myself, the Maylands Business Association and The City of Bayswater have been requesting from the PTA for many many years. Maylands Salvos Store
A lovely thank you morning tea today for 'Project Gift Box' at the Maylands Salvos store. Started as an idea I pitched to the Salvos Regional Manager, and the Area Manager turned to reality when I introduced them to Stephen Delaney from MPA Skills. Stephen came up with the 'Project Gift Box' concept of the love heart polka dot pattern and he along with 2 other trainers and their trainees got to work.
